Mark Company was originally incorporated in October 1964 and has more than 50 years of experience in the general engineering industry. Brett Pack (President) has extensive knowledge of all aspects of general engineering and was hired in 1983 to grow the business. Brett has been very successful in doing so, and with his family purchased Mark Company in 1989. Under their combined stewardship they have taken the business from $700k annually to in excess of $40m. Under their stewardship, they have expanded the company from asphalt paving into other areas of general engineering contracting. Mark Company is now the only company in Southern California providing comprehensive demolition, grading, wet utilities, dry utilities, site concrete and asphalt paving needs with in-house teams.

 

At Mark Company exceptional customer service is very important to us and can be felt at every stage – from the initial consultations to facilitating design, project planning, and ultimately final construction.  Our personal level of service enables us to deliver projects that exceed our client’s expectations while meeting project cost and schedule requirements. We do this without sacrificing safety! Site safety is a priority and all of our teams hold weekly safety meetings. We have our job sites routinely inspected by a professional safety consultant and maintain a rigorous safety training schedule. We also have a complete safety program addressing injury prevention, heat illness, hazardous communication, trench and excavation safety, and silica dust.

 

Our teams are extensively trained and are the best at what they do. Many of our estimators, project managers, superintendents, and foremen have been with us for more than 15 years and through them, our success has been built on a reputation of doing a job right. We will always put the quality of our work and our clients need first and will manage the volume of work we have to ensure that we do not compromise on the high standards we expect of our teams. We work closely with our clients to fully understand their objectives and to meet their timelines without compromising quality and safety. Our employees consist of highly skilled operators who understand that communication with job superintendents and working together with other subcontractors on the job site delivers the best results for our client.
